Wang Huimin, a ceramic artist who has loved poetry and painting since childhood, has spent many years wandering the Dahan River basin near his hometown of Yingge, enjoying the sandy banks, the reeds, and the waterside. The ever-changing scenery of pastoral fields, bamboo groves, farmhouses, green mountains, verdant ridges, sails on the riverbanks, the sunrise and sunset, riverside grasses, distant and nearby mountains, and misty waters in spring, summer, autumn, and winter, at dawn and dusk, in sunshine and rain, has always been Wang Huimin's favorite. For 32 years, he has been exploring ceramics, constantly contemplating how to artistically fuse these beloved landscapes and the imagery of ancient poems with the beauty of ceramic glazes. Through countless efforts and the realization of his dreams, since 1989, he has produced a series of excellent ceramic works imbued with poetic and picturesque beauty, such as "Three Beauties" and "Sunrise at the Cape." Wang Huimin strives to integrate classical glazes such as underglaze red, tender green, sapphire blue, powder blue, and temmoku with the poetic imagery of classical literature, blending them with the natural scenery of his hometown, Dahanxi, which he has cherished for many years. He then applies these techniques to ceramic slabs, pots, and jars, imbuing them with both the beauty of ceramic glazes and the creation of scenic landscapes, creating works that are both poetic and picturesque. Wang Huimin's works possess a modern sensibility while incorporating the charm of classical poetry. His sensitive and delicate life experiences, from innovative forms to the fusion of glazes with the interests of poetry and painting, have resulted in representative works at various stages, each exquisite, elegant, profound, and full of emotion. Wang Huimin's unwavering commitment to goodness, his steady and persistent style, and his subtle yet dedicated pursuit of art to achieve truth, goodness, and beauty, all contribute to a new realm of ceramic art. He will dedicate his life to working with clay without regret.
